West Seattle Golf Course

My favorite of the three Seattle municipal courses, West Seattle Golf Course is an 18-hole beauty. The front 9 is relatively flat and plays to a par of 37. The back 9 is hilly, provides very few flat lies, and is a constant challenge from tee to green. For a busy municipal facility, West Seattle GC is kept in good shape. Fairways are clean and the greens roll true. Perhaps the best feature of West Seattle GC are the spectacular views of downtown Seattle and Elliot Bay. On several holes it seems like you could join a business meeting in one of the high-rise buildings dotting the Seattle Skyline. Unique indeed. Also unique is their “Quick Lane Program”. They limit their first four morning tee times Mon. thru Fri. to twosomes only. They guarantee you’ll get around in 3 hours 45 minutes or less. Perfect for those who get twitchy with pace of play. Anyway, put West Seattle golf course on your play list if you haven’t yet been there.
