Buckskin Golf Course — Collective Review
Summary
Buckskin Golf Club, located in Richland, Washington, is generally viewed by local golfers as a welcoming, no-frills 9-hole community golf course. Overall sentiment tends to be positive to mildly mixed, with players frequently praising the course for its exceptional value, laid-back vibe, and quick pace of play. Golfers appreciate that they never feel rushed, describing it as an ideal venue for casual rounds, beginners, juniors, and high-handicappers working on their skills. Reviews across GolfPass, Yelp, 18Birdies, and Facebook highlight owner and PGA professional Jeff Marcum, who earns consistent praise for his friendliness, passion for the game, and approachable golf instruction. The facility features a driving range and basic pro shop amenities, along with banquet space, which many locals find convenient. Critiques predominantly center around the course conditions and amenities. Several reviewers describe the fairways and rough as 'pasture golf,' pointing out inconsistent turf and relatively slow greens that are cut longer than average. Others note that the rental golf carts are older and sometimes lack maintenance, such as missing bag straps. Despite these rough edges, most golfers agree that given the inexpensive rates and friendly local charm, Buckskin Golf Club delivers good, honest recreation for those seeking a low-stress round without country club prices.
