Pine Crest GC — Collective Review

Summary

Pine Crest Golf Course, located in the Salmon Creek area of Vancouver, Washington, is a family-owned, 9-hole par-3 facility operating since 1967. Golfer sentiment across review platforms is generally positive, with players viewing it as an enjoyable, unpretentious venue to practice iron play and the short game. On 18Birdies, the course holds a solid 4.1 out of 5 stars across over 130 ratings, complemented by a 3.6 rating on Yelp and limited feedback on GolfPass/GolfNow. Reviewers consistently praise the friendliness of the staff and the rapid pace of play, noting that a complete 9-hole round can be easily completed in under two hours. The course spans roughly 1,170 to 1,200 yards, making it accessible for juniors and high handicappers while remaining a focused challenge for experienced players tuning up their scoring clubs. Opinions on course conditions are generally favorable for a budget municipal-style par-3 track, though golfers note that the turf tends to firm up significantly during hot Pacific Northwest summers. Early complaints regarding mandatory artificial hitting mats were addressed when the course added grass teeing alternatives. Amenities are basic, featuring club rentals, a practice green, and a compact pro shop rather than a full driving range or sit-down restaurant, but golfers widely agree that the course provides strong casual value.
