Summary

Sunland Golf & Country Club (also operating as Sunland Golf Club) in Sequim, Washington, garners an overall positive reception from golfers, earning a blended average score of approximately 4.1 out of 5 stars across golf tracking apps and travel review platforms. Located on the Olympic Peninsula within the renowned Sequim 'sun belt' or rain shadow, the course often benefits from drier, sunnier weather compared to the surrounding coastal area. Golfers frequently praise the course conditions, highlighting well-maintained turf, smooth and fast greens, and weed-free fairways. While reviews on GolfPass point to occasional frustrations during seasonal aerification or busy peak hours when pace of play slows, the overarching sentiment regarding course upkeep is very favorable. Golfers appreciate the traditional parkland layout, noting its flat, walkable profile framed by mature trees, sand traps, and water hazards. Strategically, players mention that driver can often stay in the bag because narrow, tree-lined fairways strictly penalize errant shots, making precision and accuracy essential. Reviewers consistently rate Sunland as a strong value, especially highlighting affordable twilight green fee specials. The club atmosphere is described as welcoming, unpretentious, and community-oriented, with friendly pro shop staff and engaging social events. Amenities include a pro shop, driving range mats, putting green, cart rentals, and a clubhouse restaurant, providing solid facilities for both residents and visitors.
